Acoustic Floating Floors

Acoustic Floating floors are predominately used in residential apartments to help comply with Building Regulations Approved Document Part E https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/resistance-to-sound-approved-document-e

With the exception of screeded solutions incorporating a resilient layer, there are 3 main solutions

  • Acoustic Cradle and Batten
  • Acoustic Batten
  • Acoustic Overlay Decks

However more advance solutions are available such as a deep void pedestal system and Anti-Vibration Solutions.

At Husht, we’re pleased to be able to supply and fit acoustic flooring from a number of leading manufacturers Husht Acoustics have experienced fitters to install all of the above and we work with the industries leading manufacturers such as CMSDanskin, Proctor Group, Cellecta, Hush Acoustics, Knauf, Kinetic Noise Control, Regupol

Just let our technicians know where you’d like the acoustic rafts installed, and we’ll get to work immediately. Your acoustic floor will be custom fitted into your project to control airborne and impact sound transmissions.

Acoustic Cradle and Batten

Predominately used where the sub-floor is uneven and high levels of acoustic performance are required.

This system can be levelled and accommodate services including underfloor heating in void it creates under the floorboards.

The systems is designed so that the floorboards fixed to the battens, which are installed into the cradle proving acoustic isolation and levelling of the floor.

Acoustic Batten

Predominately used in timber frame constructions and high levels of acoustic performance are required.

This system can accommodate services including underfloor heating in void it creates under the floorboards.

The systems is designed so that the floorboards fixed to the acoustic battens which has an integral resilient layer to the underside providing the acoustic isolation of the floor.

Acoustic Overlay Decks

Predominately used in refurbishment or change or use constructions projects and additional acoustic performances are required with a low profile solution. Several different solutions are avialible offering different degrees of Acoustic Isolation.

This system does not accommodate services beneath the floorboards.

The systems is designed so that the acoustic deck which has an integral resilient layer to the underside floats directly on the sub-floor, thus providing the acoustic isolation of the floor.

Anti Vibration Floors

Predominately used where the sub-floor is uneven and extreamly high levels of acoustic performance are required or specifically isolating below certain frequencies.

This system can be levelled and accommodate services including underfloor heating in void it creates under the floorboards.

The systems is designed so that the floorboards fixed to the battens, which are installed into the cradle proving acoustic isolation and levelling of the floor.
